ACM-ICPC : The Mega event has reached its ending...

The atmosphere of the arena was full of tension and excitement. Each contestant was giving a nervous expression, their minds boggling with codes and only codes. Everyone trying their level best to keep on submitting answers and fix their position in the race. The race to reach the finals of ACM.......
The event, for which everyone was keenly waiting for started at 9:30 sharp and ended till 2:00 pm afternoon. All the contestants were well prepared to show their talent and spirit. It was a big challenge for them for which they prepared a lot. Their coaches were on their toes all the time, encouraging their students. On and all, 55 teams i.e. approx 200 students from different colleges of India took part in this contest. Some of the colleges are ABV-IIITM Gwalior, BITS Pilani Goa Campus, BIT Mesra, IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, NIT Rourkela, NIT Trichy, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Surat, NSIT Delhi, IIITDM Jabalpur and many more. 

All the teams showed their level best and gave outstanding performances. This duration of five hours was very tough for them to pass on as it was a turning point of their life but they all have done it very well. The contest was successfully conducted. As now the results have been declared. The team at the first position who will be attending the finals of ACM at China is the team Thekingsgambit from IIIT Hyderabad, on first runner-up position is the team Coun Tergambit from NIT Trichy, and the second runner-up is the team Brute force from ABV-IIITM Gwalior. The winning teams have played excellently with their excellent coding skills and the other teams have also played quite well.
The closing ceremony of this mega event was held in the Convocation hall at 6:00 pm evening. The hall was full of faculties, organizers,contestants and their coaches. Mementos and certificates were given by Prof. S.G.Deshmukh Director, ABV-IIITM, Dr. Dileep Kumar, Registrar, IIITM Gwalior, Prof. Phalguni Gupta, contest Organizer of ACM-ICPC Asia Region. Other personalities like Mr.R.K.Theraja, deputy director, IIT Kanpur, Mr. Mahesh Paradkar from IBM, were also present there. The winner got a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, 1st runner-up got Rs. 15,000, 2nd runner-up got Rs. 10,000 and other rankholders got cash prize of Rs. 5000 and Rs. 3000. The Director, Registrar and other guests were presented with mementos and ACM bags.
Prof. Phalguni Gupta was fully satisfied with the way of organising the event. He thanked the Director, Registrar and their whole team for making the event a huge success. He was very much impressed by the performance of the winners and encouraged the others for future.
Prof. Joydeep Dhar, Faculty Coordinator, concluded the event by giving his vote of thanks . He praised the efforts of each and every person joined with the event. He thanked the technical team of IIT Kanpur who had supported a lot. He also admired the work of 53 volunteers and the whole faculty who worked day and night for this event.
At last, the most awaited event was successfully over and ABV-IIITM Gwalior along with IIT Kanpur have done their level best to make this event a great success.
